I was very lucky to go out to Malta last Sunday 20th October on a Jet2 Fam trip. I met up with 8 independent travel agents and a jet2 rep at Manchester Airport for 3 nights sightseeing and hotel visits. On arrival into Malta we was met by a jet2 rep and was shown to a mini bus to take us to our hotel for the next 3 nights.
Phoenicia Hotel in Valletta
Is a stunning hotel in the centre of Valletta with stunning views over the sea. The hotel has a very nice feel to it and very sophisticated this hotel is steeped in history,.
There are a total of 136 rooms including suites, Bars and lounges have been recently refurbished to a very high standard,.
The pool area is a little walk in the hotel grounds with an infinity pool and bar area.

Ramla Bay Resort Mellieha Bay
This hotel is a 5 minute drive away from Mellieha bay but very well worth it the hotel does have a shuttle bus a few times a day different times depending on time of year.
The new part to the hotel has magnificent views over the sea and over to Gozo and the ferry port. The hotel has its own private beach 6 bars and 5 restaurants also an excellent spa and 3 outdoor pools 2 indoor pools including 1 adult only pool

The Intercontinental Beach Resort St Julians
This hotel is in the heart of St Julians with lots of bars restaurants shops close by.
there is a private section on the beach for guests staying here. There is a very large gym a beautiful spa area. My first impression of this hotel was more for the buisness traveller but on further inspection its a brilliant hotel for a weeks get away with beautiful rooms

BeHotel St Julians
This hotel is in a complex of shops and food outlets close to the lively night life in St Julians bay.
The beach is with in a few minutes walk.
The pool is on the roof top with some amazing views. I was pleasantly surprised with the standard and location of this hotel and would definitely recommend this hotel for younger couples and groups that are wanting to go somewhere different for night life. There are different board options to suit everyones needs.

San Antonio Resort
This Hotel is in a great location of Qwara and has a great feel soon as you walk through the door. It is one of the largest hotels in Malta and has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The hotel is within walking distance to a sandy beach, It has abeautiful spa area and also features an adult pool and bar on the roof terrace. This was by far my favourite hotel

Valletta
Valletta is the capital of Malta and has plenty of museums to visit. We was lucky enough to visit St John Cathedral which was breath taking with peautiul paintings and walls all covered in gold. The floors below are tombs which have painted tiles. The streets of Valletta are very narrow with magnificent buildings but with modern and well known UK shops like New Look Debenhams M&S etc. We only had a couple of hours here but would highly recommend anyone visit her.

We took the ferry over to Gozo for the day. The ferry cost just 4.5 Euros return for an adult ticket.
We started our tour by visiting Ggantija, these temples are older than the pyramids in Egypt.
The Cittadella which is also known as the Castello is the citadel of Victoria this area has been inhabited since the bronze age the site is now occupied by the Cittadella and is believed to have been the acropolis of the punic roman city of Galous.
We sat and had a coffee in a small square which was very busy with some beautiful little bars restaurants and shops even a traditional British fish and chips take away. We then headed through some narrow streets to meet up with our mini bus to take us to Kartell to a magnificent fish restaurant over looking the crystal waters. The food here was amazing. We also has a quick photo stop to get a quick snap overlooking the salt pans. We was then lucky enough to be taken to a winery and have a few samples before purchasing some fabulous wines before heading back to the ferry at the end of a great day!

Seashells Hotel
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on an all inclusive basis. The buffet restaurant catered for every ones needs and dietry requirements. We had breakfast 3 days at the hotel lunch once and dinner twice and all meals were beautiful. Rooms are very modern with a walk in shower , I had a room with a sea view which was lovely.
The pool area has a adult only pool and childrens pool area with a water slide. The ppol area also has an outdoor stage for evening entertainment and all inclusive bar is open untl 11pm. There is also a bar inside the hotel with a outdoor area weather permitting. There is a beautiful spa with very affordable treatments.

We had a Jet2 flight from Manchester which was on time both outbound and inbound. The crew were all very friendly and helpful. The meal service was their first service in which we all had sausage and mash that came with a hot drink or water, crackers and cheese and a chocolate sponge dessert which for £9.00 is a real bargain.
Our Jet 2 representative Sasha was a fantastic host he made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. He went out of his way to make sure we were all individually ok, nothing was to much trouble.

I had a great time in Malta and Gozo and will find it very easy to offer package holidays now to both islands. I would definitely recommend St Julians for a stag and hens parties and younger travellers looking for something different from the normal holiday destinations that has a very lively and vibrant night life.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
